Invitado a que transmita la experiencia personal en el área de la bioingeniería e ingeniería biomédica, de aquellos inicios y desarrollos que fueron dando madurez a esta disciplina profesional en Colombia, sus desafíos y aportes, considero importante en primer lugar contextualizar el punto de partida en esta área de la investigación y de la práctica profesional.
